Henry Wong has extensive work experience in the field of quantitative finance and investment strategies. Henry currently holds the position of Head of Quantitative Investments at Cbus Super Fund, where they have been working since 2018. Prior to this, they served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Monash Centre for Quantitative Finance and Investment Strategies starting in 2019.
Henry's previous roles include Portfolio Manager, Quantitative Equities at VFMC (Victorian Funds Management Corporation) from 2009 to 2017, Quantitative Analyst, Fixed Interest at Challenger Financial Services Group from 2007 to 2009, and Quantitative Analyst, Group Market Risk at National Australia Bank from 2005 to 2007. Henry also worked as a Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne from 2003 to 2005.
Henry Wong completed their education at multiple institutions. Henry obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics from The University of Auckland from 1996 to 1998. Later, they pursued a Doctorate in Mathematics (Statistical Mechanics) at the University of Melbourne from 1999 to 2003. In addition, they conducted PhD research at the University of Toronto in 2001. Henry also holds a Master of Commerce (Honours) in Finance from the University of Melbourne, completed between 2005 and 2006. Furthermore, they obtained certification in Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management Bootcamp from ARPM - Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management in 2013.
