Hosam Mahmoud

Hosam Mahmoud has extensive work experience in different industries and roles. Currently, they are working as a Crypto Research Analyst at CCData and as a Research & Index Analyst at CryptoCompare, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Advisor for Startup Finance & Financial Technology at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they designed and managed various projects, including the Fintech Academy and the Fintech Retreat. Before that, Hosam worked as an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Lead at the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation from 2018 to 2019, where they provided mentorship sessions to startups and delivered training workshops. Additionally, they founded and served as the Managing Director of Pluto Coworking from 2014 to 2016, where they organized workshops and events for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and startups.

Hosam Mahmoud received their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Helwan University Cairo, which they completed between 2009 and 2014. Hosam then pursued a High School Diploma in Finance, General from The American University in Cairo, which they obtained in 2020. Currently, Hosam is enrolled in the University of Sussex, where they are pursuing a Master's degree in Fintech, Risk & Investment Analysis, expected to be completed in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Hosam has obtained certifications from prestigious institutions such as Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law.
