Rasih Engin Akçakoca

R. Engin Akçakoca received his undergraduate degree from Middle East Technical University in Management and started his career in banking in 1974. He assumed the Deputy General Manager position at Koç-Amerikan Bank in 1986 and 1991 and the General Manager position in Koçbank A.Ş. in 1991 and 2000. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund in 2001 responsible for a large-scale banking sector restructuring program held in Turkey. Akçakoca has been working as a consultant since 2004; he holds board member positions in various Anadolu Group companies.
