Michael Nelkens

Michael Nelkens is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in managing technology infrastructure and cybersecurity across various global financial organizations. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Technology Infrastructure and Cybersecurity at Castleton Commodities International since May 2017, Michael leads global teams in implementing hybrid cloud solutions and cybersecurity measures. Previously, as Director, Senior Technology Infrastructure Manager at TIAA-CREF from March 2014 to May 2017, Michael oversaw the engineering delivery of infrastructure technology for the Asset Management division. Additional roles include Director of Technology Infrastructure at ICAP, Chief Technology Officer at MF Global, and Chief Technology Officer at Miller Tabak + Co., where Michael has consistently focused on optimizing technology strategies and enhancing operational support in highly dynamic environments. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Hofstra University and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Stony Brook University.
