Christianna Luy

Vice President at CCS Fundraising

For Christianna, philanthropy is full of catalytic moments. The moment when a donor steps into partnership with an organization. The moment when fundraisers believe it’s a privilege to invite someone to give and become part of something bigger than themselves. And the moment that donors commit themselves to giving resources beyond their treasure.

Philanthropy isn’t a career Christianna fell into; rather, from her first days calling alumni to support her alma mater’s annual fund she was hooked. After graduating from Taylor University (Upland, IN) with bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communications and Spanish, she went on to complete her Executive Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs (Indiana University).

Christianna has directed successful capital campaigns, conducted campaign feasibility studies and nonprofit assessments, and provided interim development leadership. Her portfolio of experience spans nonprofit sectors, such as associations, human service organizations, independent schools, higher education institutions, and health care systems on both the east and west coasts.

Before joining CCS, Christianna served in advancement at two higher education institutions; with an international humanitarian aid organization; and a metropolitan center for nonprofit advocacy. She is a four-time chapter author for Giving USA, the leading annual report on philanthropy in the U.S., and has earned the respected Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation.

Raised in the Midwest, Christianna happily calls Phoenix, AZ home. She has traveled to 30+ countries and has two states left to visit. She is winter sports enthusiast, loves the National Parks, and can often be found entertaining friends on her patio.
