Mike Darter has extensive experience in law enforcement and legal services. As the Co-Founder and CEO of CCW Safe since 2011, Mike oversees the provision of legal services for concealed carry permit holders. Prior to this, Mike owned OKC Defensive Tactics, Inc. from 2000 to 2015, offering judo training for athletes and law enforcement officers. Mike also worked as a NIBIN Contractor for the ATF from 2001 to 2011, managing a violent crime program. Additionally, Mike served as a police officer for the Oklahoma City Police Department from 1991 to 2001 in various roles. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma.

The defense our members are provided is the most important thing in the CCW Safe business model. CCW Safe includes a critical response team for members made up of former homicide detectives with real life experience and have themselves been involved in shootings as police officers. The critical response team will work with the National Trial Counsel in securing local counsel to defend our members, and work with bail bondsmen if needed.
