Dawn Roellig

Associate Director for Laboratory Science

Dawn Roellig is the Associate Director for Laboratory Science in the Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With 20 years of experience in advanced molecular techniques and scientific project management, they have served in various roles within the CDC, including Team Lead and Principal Investigator in the Molecular Epidemiology Lab. Dawn completed their PhD in Infectious Diseases at The University of Georgia and has contributed extensively to public health projects related to waterborne and environmental parasites. They began their academic journey with a BA in Biology from Agnes Scott College and later earned an M.S. in Biology from Georgia Southern University.
