Grace Vahey is a veterinary epidemiologist currently participating in a one-year preventive medicine fellowship with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Previously, Grace served as an Emergency Veterinarian at South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency & Specialty from 2017 to 2019, and as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the CDC from 2019 to 2021. In their role as a Veterinary Epidemiologist, they focused on investigating multi-state outbreaks of enteric diseases related to animal contact. Grace holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Georgia College of Public Health. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Science from Clemson University.
