Kai Hong

Kai Hong is an Economist and Data Scientist currently serving as a Senior Service Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With a Ph.D. in Economics and over 10 years of experience, they specialize in health economics, econometrics modeling, and causal inference. Previously, they held positions at NYU and Vanderbilt University, where they contributed to health capital research and instructed graduate courses. Kai’s analytical expertise includes advanced regression models and system modeling, utilizing tools such as Python and R to analyze large healthcare datasets. They hold multiple degrees from Beijing Normal University, Tilburg University, and Vanderbilt University.
