Linda Tierney

Linda Tierney has extensive experience in strategic communications and public relations, currently serving as the Associate Division Director for Policy and Communications at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since October 2006. Prior to this role, Linda was the Public Relations Director at DeKalb Medical Center from August 1988 to April 2006, overseeing a range of communication functions. Earlier career experience includes positions as a reporter at Gwinnett Daily News and The Mt. Vernon Register-News, focusing on health care, business, and government coverage. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned in 1984.
