Patricia Blevins is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in laboratory operations and infectious disease surveillance. Currently serving as the Team Lead for Laboratory Response Network Operations at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since December 2020, Patricia previously held the position of International Technical Consultant at the Association of Public Health Laboratories, where expertise was provided on laboratory preparedness and influenza testing. Prior roles include Laboratory Coordinator at the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, Emerging Infectious Diseases Program Manager at the Association of Public Health Laboratories, and Research Scientist at the Wadsworth Center, NYSDOH, focusing on laboratory accreditation and environmental sample testing. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the UNT Health Science Center.
