R. Ryan Lash

R. Ryan Lash is a seasoned geographer and geographic information scientist with extensive experience in public health and disease ecology. With a background as a Guest Researcher at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from September 2007 to January 2010, R. Ryan Lash utilized GIS methods to analyze zoonotic diseases and led cartographic efforts for the CDC's Travelers' Health Website. As an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer, R. Ryan Lash received practical training in applied epidemiology and contributed significantly to COVID-19 response activities. R. Ryan Lash holds a Ph.D. from The University of Georgia and has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Lab Instructor in various geography departments, fostering education in physical geography and spatial statistics.
