Stacy Simon

Stacy Simon is an accomplished technical writer and editor with extensive experience in health communication and journalism. Currently serving as a Technical Writer-Editor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since February 2023, Stacy previously held roles at Karna, LLC, and Eagle Global Scientific, focusing on public health messaging and contributing to the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. A former Senior Editor at the American Cancer Society, Stacy wrote and edited medical news content for their website. With a strong background in academia as an Associate Professor at Piedmont College, Stacy taught a variety of writing courses while also serving as a copy editor and executive leader at CNN, where key achievements included overseeing news coverage of significant events like 9/11 and guiding the transition to a digital newsroom. Stacy holds a B.S. in Communications from Northwestern University and an M.A. in Communications from Stanford University.
