Tony Nguyen is an experienced public health professional currently serving as Chief Medical Officer for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since June 2014. In addition to this role, Tony Nguyen has held several positions at CDC, including Acting Branch Chief, Senior Medical Officer, and Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer. As a Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service since 2014, Tony Nguyen has also worked as a Public Health Physician for the Virginia Department of Health and as an Associate Pediatrician in private practice. Earlier experience includes serving as Brigade Surgeon and Pediatrician in the US Army from 2008 to 2011.
