Derek Guffey

Derek Guffey has extensive work experience in various roles within the construction industry. Derek started their career as an Architect at Woollen, Molzan and Partners from 1997 to 2005. Derek then joined CSO Architects as an Architect for a year.

In 2006, Derek transitioned into a business role and became the Director of Strategic Accounts at an undisclosed company until 2012. Derek then joined Reed Construction Data as a Market Intelligence Consultant, where they focused on driving business value for Reed Construction Data's Analytics products and solutions in the US and Canada.

After a year, they moved on to CMD Group as the Senior Director of Enterprise Solutions, leading a tactical team to deliver customized solutions to CMD Group's key customers. Derek later took on the role of Vice President of Custom Analytics and Marketing Solutions at ConstructConnect, managing a team that provided customized solutions and tangible results to customers.

Subsequently, Derek held the position of Vice President of Product Management for the Building Product Manufacturers Segment at ConstructConnect, where their team focused on product ideation based on data-driven decisions and customer feedback. Derek then became the Vice President of Product Marketing for the Manufacturers Segment, contributing to the development and execution of marketing and go-to-market strategies.

Currently, Derek serves as the Vice President of Sales for the Building Product Manufacturer Segment at ConstructConnect, responsible for coaching and supporting the BPM Sales Team in new sales of Legacy BPM and MasterSpec products. Derek leads their team in a cultural and sales process transformation, driving sales, and developing a consultative selling approach.
