Shane Blinkhorn

Shane Blinkhorn is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in driving technological innovation and operational efficiency. Currently serving as Head of Software Engineering at CDL Software since May 2014, Shane has played a pivotal role in migrating services to AWS cloud and optimizing costs post-migration. Prior roles at CDL include Senior Software Engineering Manager and Data Services Manager, where achievements include building a senior leadership team and establishing the company’s first microservice-based data solution. Previously, at Hewlett-Packard, Shane excelled as Operations Manager, leveraging ITIL frameworks to enhance resource efficiency while managing team development and project delivery. Early career experience includes significant contributions at EDS LTD as Systems Administrator and at ITSA/ITSG as a Civil Servant Administrator, supported by qualifications from the EDS Modern Apprenticeship program and BTEC NVQ Level 3 in Administration.
