Kia Aria

Kia Aria is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at CDM Smith since August 2023, bringing extensive experience in geotechnical and structural design for tunnel and infrastructure projects. Prior to this role, Kia served as Projektmanager Design at IGT Geotechnik und Tunnelbau ZT GmbH from January 2014 to July 2023, overseeing various projects including a 6.1 km tunnel utilizing hand mining methods. Kia held several positions at Geoconsult from March 2009 to December 2013, progressing from Resident Project Engineer on a 13.5 km Metro Project in Iran to Deputy Project Manager for highway and motorway tunnels in Germany and Austria. Earlier experience includes roles as Project Engineer at Intergeo and an internship at Ed. Züblin AG. Kia Aria holds a Diplom degree in Civil Engineering from Technische Universität Wien.
