Rachel Harris

Rachel Harris has over 25 years of work experience in various roles within the construction industry. Rachel began their career as a Project Manager at Ryan Companies US, Inc. in 1994, where they worked until 2001. Rachel then went on to establish their own company, JNL Construction Resource Inc, where they served as the Owner from 2003 to 2006.

In 2006, Harris joined CBRE as a Senior Project Manager, where they were responsible for managing design and construction projects for the UnitedHealth Group's Corporate Real Estate Portfolio. Rachel also served as a Program Manager for the Bank of America account, overseeing a nationwide program to upgrade bank facilities to comply with the American Disabilities Act.

Harris joined CDM Smith in 2009 and held several roles during their time there. Rachel initially served as a Senior Project/Program Manager, where they managed the construction phases of large Raw Water Pump Stations and led program management efforts for National Disaster Recovery Programs. Rachel was later promoted to Vice President and Project Delivery Leader, responsible for overseeing Project Managers and Portfolio Leaders and managing the P&L for the Central United States. Rachel had a portfolio of approximately $70 million worth of municipal projects in water and wastewater.

Throughout their career, Harris has demonstrated expertise in project and program management, as well as a strong understanding of various delivery methods such as design-build and conventional design/bid/build. Rachel has experience in managing projects in the commercial, transit, and institutional sectors, including charter schools and other facilities.

Rachel Harris attended Bradley University from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering. Rachel also holds a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
