Wenjing Cheng

Wenjing (Lisa) Cheng is an accomplished Environmental Engineer currently serving as a Senior Pump Station Engineer at CDM Smith since March 2023. With extensive experience in water and wastewater engineering, previous roles include Water/Wastewater Engineer at HDR for nearly a decade and Water/Wastewater Engineer-in-Training at Cosmos Technologies, Inc. Wenjing has a strong background in pump stations, having worked on systems ranging from sump pumps to large-scale 100 MGD CSO installations. Additional experience includes roles as an engineering intern at Kroff, Inc., an adjunct faculty member at the Community College of Allegheny County, and a research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh. Wenjing holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s degree from Shandong University, with additional coursework at Carnegie Mellon University.
