Marco Babin

Marco Babin has a strong background in information technology management. Marco started their career in 1998 as the Technical Director of IT at Robert Transport. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as the Director of Infrastructure IT at Optimum Informatique. In 2011, Marco joined Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, where they held various positions including Director of Technology Infrastructure and General Director of IT and Telecommunications. In 2016, they served as the Vice President (Partner) of Professional Services at Malicis Informatique Inc. Marco also served as a Board Member at Vetexpert from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Information Technology (CIO) at CDMV, starting in 2018.

Marco Babin's education history includes two significant academic achievements. From 1986 to 1989, they attended Université du Québec à Rimouski, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Informatics/Mathematics. Following this, they pursued further education at Université de Sherbrooke from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a 2nd cycle degree in Information Technology.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Marco Babin has also attained a certification in Power BI named "L'essentiel de Power BI." Marco received this certification from LinkedIn in May 2021.
