Jennifer Sanford (MA, SCMP) has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and industries. In 2022, they became the Director of Communications for CDN Controls Ltd and Exile Automation. From 2013 to 2022, they worked as an Independent Strategic Communications Consultant for Sanford Strategy (formerly Open Door Communications), specializing in PR, MR, and GR. Prior to that, Jennifer worked as the National Content Curator & Media Spokesperson for Ducks Unlimited Canada from 2018 to 2021. Jennifer also served as the National Media Spokesperson for WestJet from 2010 to 2013. Jennifer Sanford (MA, SCMP) has an extensive education history. Jennifer obtained a Master of Communication degree specializing in Political Communication from The Johns Hopkins University in 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Applied Communications degree in Public Relations from Mount Royal University in 2006.

Jennifer furthered their education by pursuing additional certifications. In 2013, they became a Board-Certified Leadership Coach through the Center for Credentialing & Education. Subsequently, they completed Incident Command System (ICS) Training 100, 200, and 300 at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in 2015. In the same year, they also attained the designation of Member, Crisis Communication from the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.

In 2016, Jennifer achieved various certifications including Accredited Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) from DRI International, Certification in Professional Facilitation from the University of Calgary, and Certification in Critical Incident Management from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc. Additionally, they obtained the Communications Management Professional (CMP) certification from IABC (International Association of Business Communicators).

Jennifer continued to develop their expertise by acquiring a Graduate: Professional Speechwriting School certification from the Professional Speechwriters Association in 2017. Most recently, they earned the Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) designation from IABC in 2021.

As for their higher education, Jennifer is currently pursuing a degree in International Politics at the School of Politics of the China-Party State at the University of Oxford, expected to complete in 2022. Jennifer also completed the Public Leadership Credential program at Harvard University in 2021, focusing on Public Policy.
