Michael Chandler has extensive experience in counseling and education, currently serving as a Project SUCCESS Counselor and Stop Now And Plan Facilitator at CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc. since April 2016. In this role, Michael teaches evidence-based programs to young boys, focusing on self-control and behavioral management. Additionally, Michael has worked as an Online English Teacher for Funbulous, instructing Chinese children in English, and previously tutored students in English reading strategies at Micanopy Tutoring. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida, earned in 2016.

CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit social services agency that has provided services in North Central Florida for over 53 years. While CDS’s many individual programs serve a wide variety of community needs, they all fall under the umbrella of the organization’s mission statement, “Empowering Youth & Building Strong Families for a Brighter Tomorrow.” The three main programs areas include: Youth Shelters – Programs for youth in crisis Counseling – Services for troubled youth and their families Prevention – Educating the community, focusing on substance abuse and high-risk populations CDS has offices in Gainesville, Lake City and Palatka and its services now cover an eleven county area, including: Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Lafayette, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Suwannee, Levy, Putnam and Union. CDS is the sole provider of many of its services, such as runaway shelters, in North Central Florida.
