Walter Disbrow has extensive experience in administrative roles, serving as an Administrative Assistant at CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services since September 1999, where responsibilities include addressing the needs of the public and promoting a productive teamwork environment. Prior to this, Walter worked as a Second Administrator at The Plantation from September 1993 to September 1999, managing payroll, accounts payable and receivable, supervising kitchen staff, and coordinating various operational activities within the facility. Educational background includes a high school diploma with a focus on Business and Science from Columbia High School, along with studies at Lee University and Gateway Community College.

CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit social services agency that has provided services in North Central Florida for over 53 years. While CDS’s many individual programs serve a wide variety of community needs, they all fall under the umbrella of the organization’s mission statement, “Empowering Youth & Building Strong Families for a Brighter Tomorrow.” The three main programs areas include: Youth Shelters – Programs for youth in crisis Counseling – Services for troubled youth and their families Prevention – Educating the community, focusing on substance abuse and high-risk populations CDS has offices in Gainesville, Lake City and Palatka and its services now cover an eleven county area, including: Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Lafayette, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Suwannee, Levy, Putnam and Union. CDS is the sole provider of many of its services, such as runaway shelters, in North Central Florida.
