Giancarlo Rizza

Giancarlo Rizza, PhD, is a seasoned research director at CEA and a prominent figure in the field of materials science with extensive experience in nanocrystals and dielectrics for electronics and optics. Rizza has served on the steering committee of the National Research Network GdR Nacre since 2011 and has been involved in several high-profile projects, including the Nan'eau initiative at Université Paris-Saclay, which coordinates a consortium of 20 laboratories and approximately 100 research staff. Rizza's expertise is further recognized through membership on the International Committee for the Radiation Effects in Insulators conference since 2013. Rizza’s academic background includes a PhD in Materials Science from Université Paris Sud and postdoctoral training from Polytechnique, complemented by a Master's degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Padova.
