Mark Levenstein is a Research Scientist at CEA since January 2021, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where involvement in an NSF-funded project focused on Engineering Coral Reef Recovery occurred. Previous roles include Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Leeds, facilitating a first-year thermofluids laboratory module, and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Leeds, where a microfluidic platform for analyzing calcium carbonate crystallization was developed. Mark gained foundational research experience as a Research Assistant at Old Dominion University, focusing on the design and testing of microfluidic devices. Mark holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University.
