Mien Nguyen

Mien Nguyen is a Senior Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since December 2021, with a strong background in academic and research settings. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School from July 2013 to December 2021, where Mien oversaw multiple research projects across various disciplines and mentored students. Mien has also held roles as an Invited Graduate Lecturer, Senior Research Fellow, and Research Fellow, demonstrating expertise in cell culture models, data documentation, and collaborative research that led to high-impact publications. Mien earned a PhD in Integrative Biology of Disease from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego.
