Dr Sujith Nair

Vice President - R&d Centre Of Excellence at CEAT

Dr Sujith Nair has extensive work experience in the R&D and manufacturing technology sectors of the tire industry. Dr started their career at CEAT Tyres Limited in 1997, where they worked in various areas of manufacturing technology, gaining expertise in tire compound mixing, curing, and building. In 2004, Dr Nair joined Apollo Tyres Ltd as a Senior Manager in R&D, where they led compound development activities and collaborated with external partners on the development of passenger and truck radial tires. Dr returned to CEAT Tyres Limited in 2009 as Head of Radial Compounding and Material Development, responsible for specifying compounding, raw material development, and processing systems for a greenfield project, as well as setting up a state-of-the-art material development R&D center. In 2011, they became General Manager of R&D, focusing on compounding and material development, and in 2015, they were promoted to Vice President of the R&D Centre of Excellence.

Dr. Sujith Nair completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanotechnology from Manipal Institute of Technology from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a certificate program on change leadership at Cornell University from 2017 to 2018, focusing on leading strategic change initiation, creativity & innovation, negotiation skills, and organizational change. In 2016 and 2017, they completed the Global Leadership Development Program at the Indian School of Business, specializing in personal and organizational leadership. Dr. Nair also holds a Master of Technology in Polymer Technology from Cochin University of Science and Technology, obtained from 1995 to 1997.
