Blake Collins

Blake Collins has a diverse work experience in business development and automation engineering. Blake currently serves as the Director of Business Development North America at CEC Controls, where they lead sales for Wood's Discrete Automation & Controls Business. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Wood and as a Global Process Technical Consultant at Rockwell Automation.

Blake's earlier experience includes working at Wood Group Mustang as a Business Development / Automation Engineer, where they handled strategy and business-related activities for a portfolio of oil, gas, and chemical companies. Blake also worked on various projects with different roles, ranging from Project Engineer to Technical Lead.

Furthermore, Blake has experience in engineering co-op positions. Blake worked at Xplore Technologies (formerly known as Motion Computing) as an Engineering Co-op, where they designed cables for a wearable tablet PC and submitted a patent idea for a coaching software application. At Advanced Engineering, Inc, they assisted in replacing PLCs and programming control systems. Blake also had a co-op position at Roper Corporation.

Blake Collins earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Tennessee Technological University, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. Blake then obtained additional certifications such as the Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in May 2014 and the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the same institution in July 2012. Blake pursued further education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Notre Dame College from 2022 to 2024.
