Kathleen Kunda

Board Member at Cecil College

Kathleen Kunda earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wilmington University and served as a coordinator with Cecil County Public Schools for 14 years. In this role, she was the Business and Education Partnership Advisory Council coordinator as well as the Base Realignment and Closure liaison. Following her retirement from CCPS in 2012, she spent four years as a project coordinator at Cecil College working with STEM and Beyond Night events in Cecil and Harford counties as well as the college’s Career Blast program.

Ms. Kunda was on the board of directors of the Cecil College Foundation and has also been active in the community as a member of the Republican Central Committee, Women in Defense STEM Subcommittee, Boys and Girls Club of Cecil County board, Northeastern Maryland Technology Council Visionary Alumni Subcommittee, Susquehanna Workforce Network Youth Council, Elkton Alliance board, and Cecil County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and Membership Committee.

Ms. Kunda was presented with the Athena Award, which honors women who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession along with community involvement and leadership. In addition, she has received an NMTC Visionary Award and Junior Achievement of Delaware Legacy Award and was selected as the Cecil County Chamber Member of the Year.
