Dana Vankirk

Dana VanKirk has extensive experience in education and counseling, currently serving as the Building Coordinator for Special Education at Cecil County Public Schools since August 2008. In this role, Dana implements the IEP process and oversees the evaluation of new referrals. Additionally, Dana has contributed as an Assistant Track and Field Coach, focusing on throwing events, and previously worked as a Special Education Teacher, managing a diverse caseload and implementing specialized reading programs. Dana also provided online counseling services for students K-12 at Therapy Source, Inc., and acted as a Psychiatric Counselor at Keypoint Health Services, offering comprehensive services including assessment and crisis intervention. Dana holds a Master's degree in School Counseling from Duquesne University and has completed continuing education courses for Administration Certification at McDaniel College.
