Rory Oxenham is currently serving as the Co-Founder & CCO at Cecil, a technology company focused on unlocking data-driven nature markets. Prior to this, Rory worked at BCG Digital Ventures as a Senior Strategic Designer and Experience Designer, where they collaborated with influential companies to invent, build, and invest in startups. Rory also served as an Operations Coordinator at Leaders for Climate Action, where they leveraged digital tools and industry connections to tackle climate change. Additionally, Rory worked as an Advisor at Solar Captus, contributing to the development of scalable software for the mass-adoption of new energy technologies. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Head of Customer Experience at Suncrowd, a solar and batteries group-buying platform.

From 2011 to 2015, they attended The University of Edinburgh, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Theology.

In 2017, they briefly studied at UC San Diego, focusing on Human Computer Interaction but did not obtain a degree.

During the same year, Rory also completed a User Experience Design program at General Assembly.

Before their university education, Rory attended Sherborne School from 2005 to 2010, but did not receive a degree or specify a specific field of study.

Additionally, Rory accomplished several certifications, including: Foundations in Design Thinking from IDEO U in February 2018, Insights for Innovation from IDEO U in January 2018, and a Design Thinking Crash Course from Stanford University in November 2017.

Moreover, they completed various online courses, such as Designing, Running, and Analyzing Experiments, Information Design, User Experience: Research & Prototyping, Design Principles: an Introduction, Human-Centered Design: an Introduction, Input and Interaction, and Social Computing, all obtained through Coursera in different months of 2017.

Furthermore, they obtained a User Experience Design certification from General Assembly in June 2017.
