Ben Behnke

Regional Manager, Northwest Region at Ceco Concrete Construction

Ben joined the Ceco Concrete Construction Seattle team in 1988 after graduating from Washington State University with a Bachelors of Science in civil engineering. He learned the business through his subsequent roles as Project Manager, Sales Manager and Senior Project Executive, leading up to his promotion to Northwest Regional Manager. In 2008, Ben departed to gain concrete frame construction experience with SAK Construction in Seattle until 2011, when he returned to Ceco to manage the Northwest operation providing both concrete formwork and concrete frame construction.

Ben has been involved in more than 150 completed concrete formwork and concrete frame construction projects at Ceco and SAK including office buildings, parking garages, healthcare and medical facilities, multi-unit residential projects and more. Ben’s recent project experience includes management support on Stadium Place, Amazon World Headquarters, University of Washington Medicine Lake Union, Overlake Medical Office Building (MOB) Expansion and Microsoft Building 83. In recent years, Ben has focused on providing structural system selection, design assistance and design-build services to his clients, which benefit fully from Ceco’s extensive preconstruction capabilities. Ben’s work on the Auburn Regional Medical Center (MOB and free-standing parking structure) involved structural design-build scopes. He also worked on the high-profile Lemay Car Collector Center in a structural design-assist capacity. On both jobs, Ben’s efforts along with his team provided structural design solutions that saved the client time and money.
