Geraldine Mackenzie serves as the Vice-Chancellor at the University of Southern Queensland since September 2017, with a distinguished background as a barrister-at-law since 1985, holding memberships in various esteemed legal associations including the Bar Association of Queensland, International Bar Association, and American Bar Association. Mackenzie is a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia and a member of the Queensland Futures Institute, contributing to public policy and economic development. Additionally, Mackenzie has held leadership roles, such as Chair of the Queensland Vice-Chancellors’ Committee and participation in the Queensland Sentencing Advisory Council. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Sentencing from UNSW, a Master of Laws from QUT, and a Bachelor of Laws from QUT, complemented by a Graduate certificate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
