Bill Micheel

Bill Micheel, AICP, is a dedicated urban planning and management professional with over 15 years of experience in various domains, including long-range planning, economic development, and zoning administration. Currently serving as the Director of Economic and Development Services for the City of Cedar Rapids, IA, Bill oversees both Economic Development and Development Services departments, managing significant complex projects and fostering community relationships. Previously held roles include Assistant Director at the City of Cedar Rapids, Corridor MPO Manager, and various positions in planning and natural resource management. Bill holds a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa, along with degrees in Forest Management and Management Information Systems.
