John Patounas BSc, MSc, MCP

John Patounas has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and software development. John currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at Cedar Rose International Services Ltd since January 2020, where they also hold the position of Senior Software Engineer & Data Protection Officer. In this role, they oversee the development and maintenance of the company's website and back office systems, as well as the expansion of their database.

Prior to their current position, John worked at NetU Group for several years. John started as a Senior Consultant in July 2011 and later became a Solutions Architect in January 2014. In these roles, they managed a team of developers and system engineers, provided support to sales account managers, and delivered functional and technical solutions to clients.

Before joining NetU Group, John worked at Argos S.A. as an IT Manager from September 1999 to June 2011. In this role, they coordinated and guided the software team, developed and maintained various software applications for press distribution, and utilized technologies such as Borland Delphi, VB.Net, SqlWindows, SqlBase, SqlServer, and Lotus Domino/Notes.

In addition to their professional experience, John has also worked in various part-time roles, including Software Developer at Biomedica Chemica S.A., Web Developer at Theatroparea S.A., and Portal-Forum Developer at Aquazone Team. John also served as a Web Developer for Greek Aquarists Club, Software Developer at Pharmedia S.A., and Web Developer for Mr CarWash S.A.

Furthermore, John gained early experience as a UK Radio Producer at University Radio Essex (URE) from October 1996 to July 1999.

John Patounas obtained a degree in Applied Computer Science Curriculum from Control Data Greece Inc. from 1993 to 1996. John then pursued a degree in Computer Information Systems And Programming Curriculum from the same institution from 1992 to 1994. In 1996, they enrolled in the University of Essex and completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from 1996 to 1998. During this time, they also became a Microsoft Certified Professional. Continuing their education at the University of Essex, John Patounas obtained their Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 1998 to 1999. John has also obtained various certifications, including the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 1996, and more recently the Privacy and Data Protection Foundation certification from EXIN in November 2017 and several presales certifications from Infor in 2014.
