Akilah McGhee Lpc

Akilah McGhee, LPC, currently serves as an Admissions Counselor at Cedar Springs Hospital since December 2021 and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor at Heart Connections Counseling since August 2019. Previously, Akilah worked as a MFLC for both AMERICAN HOSPITAL SERVICE CORPORATION and Spectrum Healthcare Resources between 2019 and 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Mental Health Therapist in the Child Partial Hospitalization Program at Cedar Springs Hospital from January 2018 to May 2019, and as a Licensed Associate Counselor at Valley Behavioral Health System from April 2012 to November 2017, focusing on school-based mental health therapy and case management for children. Akilah began the professional journey as a Family Service Worker at the Department of Human Services from 2006 to 2008. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
