Vanessa Gage

Vanessa Gage is the current General Council at Cedar. Vanessa was previously the Head of Legal at Opendoor from June 2017 to July 2022. Vanessa is responsible for corporate governance, Board management, compliance, and legal advice regarding corporate, finance, and commercial transactions, operational expansion, licensing, litigation, regulatory, privacy, stock and employment matters. Vanessa has also been a Partner - Asset Finance at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP from September 2016 to June 2017 and a Partner - Financial Services Industry Group at Reed Smith LLP from July 2014 to September 2016. Vanessa Gage was also a Finance Attorney at Chapman and Cutler LLP from October 2008 to July 2011. In May 2007, Vanessa became a Board Member - IMSA Fund Board at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and served in that role until April 2013.

Vanessa Gage received their Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, their Bachelor of Science with High Honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and their Diploma from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.
