Caroline Jefferies is a highly accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as the Scientific Director at the Center for Research in Women's Health Science (CREWHS) and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology at Cedars-Sinai since May 2015. Prior to this role, Caroline held the position of Associate Professor and Head of Biochemistry, as well as Joint Head of Molecular and Cellular Therapeutics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland from January 2014 to April 2015. Caroline's career at RCSI began in December 2005 as a Senior Lecturer and Principal Investigator, having secured an SFI Principal Investigator Award. Earlier, from 2001 to 2005, Caroline worked as a Senior Research Lecturer at Trinity College Dublin. Educationally, Caroline obtained a Ph.D. in Immunology from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Immunology from the same institution.
