Melissa Vizcarra

Melissa Vizcarra serves as the Lead Communications Specialist at Cedars-Sinai since August 2019, where Melissa leads communications strategies to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, particularly for English and Spanish-speaking audiences. In addition to managing the Spanish language newsroom, Noticias de Cedars-Sinai, Melissa collaborates with consultants and hospital staff to ensure effective media outreach. Previously, Melissa held various roles at Children’s Hospital Colorado, including Senior Media Relations Specialist, and served on the board of SocialMedia.org Health. Early career experience includes positions at Metzger Associates and The Kempe Foundation, and an academic background in Communications with a focus on Media Management from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
