Nathan L. has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Nathan started their career as a Registered Nurse at the University of New Mexico Hospital, where they gained experience in various areas such as inpatient sub-acute cardiac care and outpatient ambulatory family practice/internal medicine. Nathan then pursued a Masters of Nursing Informatics at Duke University from 2010 to 2012.

After completing their degree, Nathan joined Cedars Sinai Medical Center in 2011 and held multiple roles. Nathan started as an Application Specialist II, where they were responsible for overseeing and leading Epic EMR/EHR implementation projects in medium-sized offices. Nathan then transitioned to a Senior Application Analyst, where they served as the liaison for Ambulatory-related Cogito report/information requests, leveraging their knowledge of nursing practice and EMR/EHR management. Finally, they became a Senior Data Intelligence Analyst on the Data Advisory Services Team, serving as the principal Tableau clinical informatics liaison and trainer, responsible for designing and developing dashboards for various divisions.

In 2022, Nathan joined Cedars-Sinai as a Principal Data Analyst, where they combine their clinical and reporting expertise to advise users on projects, troubleshoot issues, develop training programs, and promote data-first, self-service analytics. Nathan is the dedicated Tableau clinical informatics liaison and trainer, providing support and dashboard design across ambulatory, inpatient, and ancillary divisions.

Nathan L. earned a BSN degree in Nursing and Spanish from The University of New Mexico in 2008. In 2012, they received an MSN degree in Nursing Informatics from Duke University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Tableau Desktop Specialist and Tableau Desktop Certified Associate, both from Tableau.
