Pamela Hamilton, RN, Esq. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Pamela started their career in 1984 as a USAF staff nurse, where they provided nursing care in various settings and also served as a charge nurse. Pamela then worked as a critical care nurse at UCLA Medical Center and as part of the critical care float pool at UC San Diego Health System. In 1995, they transitioned into the field of law and worked as an attorney defending physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases at Carroll, Kelly & Trotter, Dummit, Faber, Briegleb & Diamond, and Kern & Gonzales. In 2003, they became a labor and delivery nurse at Stamford Hospital, where they provided comprehensive care to laboring mothers and taught childbirth classes. Pamela further expanded their role in patient safety and risk management as the perinatal and perioperative patient safety coordinator at Yale New Haven Health System. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Risk Management at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, overseeing risk control activities and providing medical/legal consultation to clinical staff.

Pamela Hamilton, RN, Esq. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Fitchburg State University from 1980 to 1984. Pamela then pursued their Juris Doctor degree in Law from the University of San Diego School of Law, completing it from 1990 to 1993. Pamela also obtained certification in CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management) from the American Society of Hospital Risk Managers in April 2013.
