Suzanne Devkota is the Director of the Cedars-Sinai Human Microbiome Research Institute, where they specialize in host-microbe interactions, nutritional biochemistry, and a range of other fields including inflammatory bowel diseases and cancer biology. Previously, they served as an Associate Professor at Cedars-Sinai and held positions at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Joslin Diabetes Center, and the Medical College of Georgia. Devkota earned a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Chicago, following a Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they also completed their undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry.
