Mary Spio has over 30 years of professional experience in the aerospace and digital media industries. Mary began their career in 1989 as a Wideband/Satellite Communications Technician for the United States Air Force. In 1996, they worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Ultra Corporation and in 1997 they were an Aerospace Engineer for The Aerospace Corporation. In 2000, they were a Satellite Applications Engineer for Intelsat. From 2001 to 2010, they worked as the Head of Satellite Communications Systems for The Boeing Corporation, where they created and received patents for real time distribution of cinema grade content, demographic targeting of content and effective use of behavioral data in content creation. In 2005, they founded Gen2Media (now Vidaroo), an emerging leader in the digital media industry. Mary served as the Founder and CEO of Gen2Media, headquartered in Orlando, Florida with field offices in New York. Lastly, in 2016 they founded CeekVR, where they serve as the Founder, Chief Visionary and Product Architect.

Mary Spio attended Syracuse University from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Mary then continued their education at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a focus in Global Innovation Management, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
