Konstantinos Sapounas

Konstantinos Sapounas currently serves as the Sector Group Manager for Petrochemicals at Cefic, having started in March 2024. Prior to this role, Konstantinos was the Environment & Sustainability Officer and Technical Policy Officer at EUnited aisbl from March 2022 to February 2024, where responsibilities included providing technical support and advocating for association sectors, along with networking at EU and national levels. Earlier experience includes serving as a European Customer Account Specialist at bet365, where Konstantinos resolved customer queries and collaborated with internal departments. Additional roles include Lab Tech/Jr. Stimulation Engineer at Baker Hughes, performing fracking and acidizing techniques and conducting water analysis, and Assistant Professor at Esbjerg International School, teaching physics and chemistry. Konstantinos holds a Master's degree in Process Chemical Engineering (Oil & Gas Technology) from Aalborg University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics (Applied & Environmental Physics) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
