Pavel Tomancak

Pavel Tomancak, a renowned evolutionary and developmental biologist, who has been leading his research group at the prestigious Max-Planck Institute in Dresden for fifteen years, became the new director on 1 February 2021, replacing his predecessor Markus Dettenhofer.
