Harsh Patel

Harsh Patel is a Senior Scientist and Team Lead in Medical & Pharmaceutical at Celanese since July 2020, focusing on the development of complex parenteral products from pre-formulation to pilot scale-up. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at Evonik from January 2014 to July 2020, where Harsh advanced process development for bioresorbable materials and enhanced execution efficiency within cGLP and cGMP facilities. Earlier, as a Scientist at Evonik, impactful contributions were made to composite development for orthopedic implants, facilitating the launch of two innovative products. Harsh's career began as a Ph.D. Research Assistant at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where a novel polymeric scaffold was engineered and tested, advancing biocompatible material development. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
