Parasto Moameni has a diverse work experience. Parasto started their career in 2006 as a Retirement Home Companion for Goteborgs Stad. In 2008, they worked as an Attractions Operator and Restaurant Worker for Liseberg AB. In 2015, they completed a summer internship as an Analysis Engineer for Wellspect HealthCare. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Research Engineer for Volvo Group, Department of Powertrain Strategic Development, specializing in catalysis and exhaust aftertreatment systems. Parasto also completed a Master Thesis in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology and Volvo Group, Department of Advanced Technology and Research, studying the effect of ammonia on the deactivation of a Cu-zeolite SCR catalyst commonly used in mobile applications. In 2021, they began working as a Product Developer for Celcibus AB.

Parasto Moameni obtained a Master's degree in Materials Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology in 2016, after completing a degree in Chemical Engineering from the same university from 2011 to 2016. From 2009 to 2010, they studied English Language and Literature, General at the University of Gothenburg, and from 2010 to 2011 they studied Biology, General at the same university. In addition, they obtained a Driver's license B from the Swedish Transport Agency in 2014.
