Simon van Velthooven

Simon van Velthooven is a highly accomplished athlete and professional with extensive experience in both sailing and cycling. Currently a member of Emirates Team New Zealand since 2016, Simon has contributed to several America's Cup campaigns, including winning the 36th America's Cup in Auckland and the 35th in Bermuda. As a former track cyclist, Simon is a London Olympic Games medalist and has earned multiple medals at World Championships and Commonwealth Games. In addition to athletic achievements, Simon has held various roles including keynote speaker at Celebrity Speakers New Zealand, project manager at Wyborn Capital, and brand ambassador for Volkswagen and ŠKODA. Simon holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness from Massey University and a Commercial Real Estate Licence from Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.
