Rob Stars

Robert Stars MD PhD is a highly experienced clinical research professional with a focus on endocrinology, diabetes, and osteoporosis. Since 2012, Robert has been self-employed as a freelance clinical research professional. Prior roles include serving as an external clinical expert at the State Agency of Medicines of Latvia and as a Product Team Leader/Scientific Administrator at the European Medicines Agency, where Robert led revisions and updates of critical clinical guidelines and managed marketing authorization applications. Robert founded G-SuPort Ltd, a contract research organization, and held the position of Head of the Clinical Trial Unit at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, overseeing numerous clinical trials and managing patients with endocrine disorders. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Internal Medicine and a medical degree from Rīga Stradiņš University, as well as postdoctoral training at Stanford University.

CeleCor Therapeutics develops a RUC-4 novel small molecule inhibitor designed to be the first point of contact treatment for segment elevated myocardial infarction. The molecule inhibitor uses a thrombolytic agent for percutaneous coronary intervention that can be administered subcutaneously by auto-injector, enabling decreased mortality and laterdevelopment of heart failure.
