Shivan Govindan

Mr. Govindan is Managing Member of newly-formed Celeridem Capital Management, LLC and Managing Member of Blue Pine Partners, LLC, a private equity fund investing primarily in U.S. community banks, since 2014. From 2004 - 2014, Mr. Govindan held various positions at Resource America, Inc., an $18 billion AUM asset management company managing alternative assets such as real estate, credit, private equity, and other assets. Among his roles at Resource America, he served as President of Resource Financial Institutions Group, Inc. (RFIG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Resource America, Inc. Through RFIG and its affiliates, Mr. Govindan originated, monitored, and managed approximately $4.3 billion in debt and equity investments issued by community banks and other financial services companies. He also performed various corporate development functions for RAI and affiliates, including the rollout of Resource Home Loans, a new effort to implement a residential mortgage strategy on behalf of Resource Capital Corp. (NYSE: RSO), a REIT Resource America externally manages, which included the acquisition of a mortgage company and recruitment of a senior team to implement a residential mortgage strategy; rollout out of Northport Capital, a group formed to implement a corporate middle market direct lending strategy; and a strategic corporate investment in LifeCare Funding, Inc., an origination platform for off-the- run life settlement assets (typically long term care conversion transactions). Member of RFIG, Trapeza Capital Management, Resource Credit Solutions, Resource Home Loans, and LifeCare Funding investment committees. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Govindan was Principal of Beehive Ventures, LLC, a venture capital firm that invested in FinTech media technology. Highlights include eMarketer, Inc., and Restricted Stock Solutions, Inc. (sold to Sunguard). Prior to that, he served as Director of Corporate Development for IQ Financial Systems, Inc., a DB Ventures portfolio company that was sold to Misys. Prior to that, he served as Associate in Fixed Income Derivatives at BT Alex Brown.

Mr. Govindan is Vice Chairman of First NBC Bank Holding Co. (NSADAQ: FNBC) in New Orleans, LA, and Director of Colorado National Bancorp in Denver, CO. Mr. Govindan is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania, B.A. in English and minor in Economics, 1995.
